Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect as little as possible:

• • Email addresses — if you subscribe to our digest or submit a job listing
• • Job listing details — company, role, location, apply URL, logo, and contact email for employers who submit paid listings
• • Directory information — public professional information, including names, handles, profile images, work links, and information submitted for the directory
• • Nomination data — name, X handle or website, optional note, and nominator email when someone nominates a design engineer
• • Basic hosting logs — IP addresses, timestamps, pages visited (standard web server logs)

Payments

Payments for job listings are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe provides us with transaction metadata (amount, date, receipt ID) and the email you enter at checkout.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand site usage. Page-view data can include the page URL, referrer, approximate location, and browser and device information. Vercel uses a temporary request-derived identifier rather than tracking cookies and reports aggregate statistics. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.

How we use your data

• • Email addresses: to send requested digest launch updates and, when available, the digest; or to communicate about your listing
• • Listing details: to display your job on the site after review
• • Directory info: to display your profile in the people directory
• • Nomination data: to review and potentially add nominees to the directory (we may contact the nominee)
• • Logs: to maintain the service and debug issues

What we don't do

• • We don't sell your data
• • We don't share your email with third parties for marketing
• • We don't use tracking pixels or third-party ad networks
• • We don't collect resumes or applications (we link to employer systems)

Cookies

We don't use cookies for tracking. Vercel may set essential cookies for infrastructure (like load balancing), but these don't track you.

Third-party content

We display X profile images and link to external sites. When you click an outbound link or load an X image, those third parties may collect data according to their own policies.

Data storage

Job listings pending review and nomination data are stored in our Redis database (hosted infrastructure). Published listings are stored in our codebase. We do not share this data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (hosting, payments).

Data retention

We keep email addresses until you unsubscribe. Listing data is kept for the listing duration plus 90 days (for refund processing). Nomination data is kept until reviewed. Directory listings are kept until you request removal. Logs are rotated per Vercel's standard retention.

Your rights

Email contact@hsla0001.com to request access to your data, a correction, deletion, directory removal, or to stop receiving digest updates. Please identify the email address or profile your request concerns.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll note the date at the top.
